Should Christians be tolerant?Should Christians be tolerant?
Today tolerance is being redefined to mean that all views are equally valid and all lifestyles equally appropriate. As such, the notion that Jesus is the only way is vilified as the epitome of intolerance. Rather than capitulating to culture, Christians must be equipped to expose the flaws of today's tolerance, while simultaneously exemplifying true tolerance.
First, to say all views are equally valid sounds tolerant but in reality is a contradiction in terms. If indeed all views are equally valid then the Christian view must be valid. The Christian view, however, holds that not all views are equally valid. Thus, the redefinition of tolerance in our culture is a self-refuting proposition. Moreover, we do not tolerate people with whom we agree; we tolerate people with whom we disagree. If all views were equally valid, there would be no need for tolerance.
Furthermore, today's redefinition of tolerance leaves no room for objective moral judgments. A modern

Are Christians Judgmental and Unloving?Religious Tolerance: Are Christians Judgmental and Unloving?
RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE- An Introduction
Why can’t Christians just exercise their own faith, and leave alone those people who have other beliefs? After all, isn’t it judgmental and unloving to criticize someone else’s religious beliefs?
RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE- The Age of Tolerance
Because we live in an age of tolerance where almost anything goes, openly questioning or criticizing other people’s belief systems can quickly get you labelled as judgmental, narrow-minded, bigoted, hateful, and even ignorant. And with regard to Christianity, Matthew 7:1 is often quoted (or should I say “misquoted”) to discourage Christians from putting other religious teachings and practices to the test.
RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE- Do Not Judge?
This assertion, however, is simply false, as the Bible clearly speaks out not against passing judgme
Does Jesus Hate Religion? Kinda, Sorta, Not ReallyBALANCE: Does Jesus Hate Religion? Kinda, Sorta, Not Really by Kevin DeYoung
There’s a new You Tube video going viral and it’s about Jesus and religion.
Specifically how Jesus hates religion.
The video—which in a few days has gone from hundreds of views to thousands to millions—shows Jefferson Bethke, who lives in the Seattle area, delivering a well-crafted, sharply produced, spoken word poem. The point, according to Bethke, is “to highlight the difference between Jesus and false religion.” In the past few days I’ve seen this video pop up all over Facebook. I’ve had people from my church say they like it. Some has asked me what I think. Others have told me there’s something off about the poem, but they can’t quite articulate what it is. I’ll try to explain what that is in a moment. But first wat

The Father Who Gives You Strength
This excerpt is taken from "The Father Who Gives You Strength" by Max Lucado
It all happened in one day. One day he could choose his tee time at the nicest golf course in the country; the next he couldn’t even be the caddie. One day he could Lear jet across the country to see the heavyweight bout at the Las Vegas Mirage. The next he couldn’t afford a city bus across town.
Talk about calm becoming chaos. . .
The first thing to go is his empire.
Is apologetics really necessary? Is apologetics really necessary?
DEFINITION: First, apologetics is the defense of the faith “once for all entrusted to the saints” (Jude 3). The word “apologetics” is derived from the Greek, apologia, which means “a reasoned defense.” As such, it involves providing an answer, not an apology in the contemporary sense of the word. Just as good attorneys defend their clients in courts of law by presenting solid evidence and sound reasoning, so too apologists defend the truth of Christianity through well-reasoned answers to the questions regarding our faith.
Too often people suppose the task of apologetics to be the exclusive domain of scholars and theologians. Not so! The defense of the faith is not optional. It is basic training for every Christian. And that means you!
First, the Bible informs us that apologetics is not just a nicety; it is a necessity for every believer. Writing in a
I am more than OKAre you Content?
"I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." Philippians 4:11
These words show us that contentment is not a natural propensity of man. “Ill weeds grow apace.” Covetousness, discontent, and murmuring are as natural to man as thorns are to the soil. We need not sow thistles and brambles; they come up naturally enough, because they are indigenous to earth: and so, we need not teach men to complain; they complain fast enough without any education. But the precious things of the earth must be cultivated. If we would have wheat, we must plough and sow; if we want flowers, there must be the garden, and all the gardener’s care. Now, contentment is one of the flowers of heaven, and if we would have it, it must be cultivated; it will not grow in us by nature; it is the new nature alone that can produce it, and even then we must be specially careful and watchful that we maintain and cultivate the grace which God has s
The Truth About So-Called Ghosts!Do You Believe in Ghosts?
As a recurring question among Christians we have come across a lot of Christians and friends that do NOT have a Biblical understanding of "ghosts". At times, we are quite surprised that when this subject of ghosts comes up, very few Christians know what the Bible says about it. Therefore, we felt necessary to provide you learning material to equip you to give a proper answer according to 1 Peter 3:15.
Do You Believe in Ghosts?
by Rick Barry
Ghosts. What do you really think about them? If someone pushes us, most will admit a degree of love for scary stories. But what about reports of real ghosts, even by sincere Christians? Few Christians seem to know what to think. If we look to the Scriptures, however, we find solid answers, even on this murky subject.
Both children and adults alike wonder about the existence of ghosts. Some reject the notion. Others insist that ghosts exist and cite experiences—their own or friend-of-a-friend
Top 5 Mistakes (I've made over the years)To many people in comics, I only arrived a few years ago with Joe the Barbarian. Then came Hellblazer (completed in 2008 before I began working on Joe), American Vampire: SOTF, and finally Punk Rock Jesus. Once in a while someone will mention Off Road (an OGN I did with Oni back in 2004), but for the most part it seems like I've been published only these last few years when in fact I've been published professionally for a decade now.
This isn't a plea to have everyone go back through my previous work--in fact, I'm glad that a lot of the books I've done over the years aren't on readers' radars. I'm proud of it all, but the books above are a nice, tight group of titles to be associated with. They're all in a similar brand, they're all recent, they all have good creators/publishers associated with them, and the artwork is mostly consistent. Go back further than that, and you'll see artwork that looks nothing like the stuff I'm doing these days. (Although Off Road still holds up to some de

Every so-called anime fans should read this. The translation is very rough because I did it very quickly, but forgive me, because it is worth reading. Seriously.
The interview of Kim Hyeon-tae, who works in Japanese animation business.
Q : Do you have any hobby not including your job?
I had. When I was in Korea I did swing dance for about 2 years but after I got employed I haven't had any time to go dancing.
So now I make Gundam plamodels in my home. I don't color them and just assemble them for now.
Q : Why do you think you are so busy like that?
It is simple. Production cost.
Money. The reason we are busy is money. I don't know how animation making costs in Korea now,
but in Japan it's about 12~15 million yen for a show? There are even 10 million shows when they're small.
To make it simple, if a show costs 10 million then the company should save at least 20% so the actual production cost should be 8 million.
But the money doesn't all go to drawing and painting. It includes the personnel expenses of the company.

1,5k watchers - POINTS /ARTS RAFFLE! (CLOSED)Yeah, yeah it's a raffle to thank you for all watches ;A; Because I couldn't believe when I saw this. Hori shit, I don't deserve even half of them! I don't understand how it's possible, because I don't draw like a proffessionalist, I don't have a lot of art here and I'm not super kawaii moe desu uguu. ;__; How do you can watch somebody who doesn't have a brain ;-; Well, I'm too lazy to thank for single watch, so instead of this I decided to make a small raffle. It's my first raffle like this ;w; Now I can't draw for everyone (I wouldn't finish it by 2 years...uh). I know the prizes aren't really big...but I'm kinda poor now too, I need to earn more ;n; But yeah, as I wanted to say thank you, it's always something >///<
Also I want to say sorry for being lazy with commissions/trades, I need to recover to draw something better. I'm sick almost all the autumn + Hogwart's things ;_;
So...there will be 5 winners ;u;
1 - 150 oints
POINTS OF SAFETY - ENDED, Judging in ProgressThe deadline's here, judging will commence shortly. Stay tuned for the winners!
It's time for another contest; you can partly blame ripley4O77 for providing me with a great idea.
To be more specific: Save Points in video games.
For instance Resident Evil's typewriters, Harvest Moon's diaries, Majora's Mask's owl statues, Grandia II's shiny rainbow cone-thingies etc.
You don't have to draw JUST the save point; surroundings and characters would of course make a great addition.
What's important however:
Only Save Points that you can actually SEE count.
Games that exclusively use autosave or allow you to save wherever you are with no requirement whatsoever do NOT qualify.
On the other hand you don't have to pick stationary Save Points. Alone in the Dark 4's Charms of Saving would for instance count.
Mature Content is alright but only if it stays below an excessive level.
All visual media are acc
Christians are FOOLS!!Christianity is for FOOLS
How many times have you had someone here at dA say that you are a fool? As a matter of fact, if they do... say, yes I am Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
Nine TimesI saw him nine times.
The first time we were both sitting in the room together, getting ready to take the math test that would determine our placement. I was scatterbrained and throwing things around, trying to find the pencils that I had known I would need but had still just tossed in my purse. He was lounging backwards in his chair, looking for all the world as though he didn’t have a single care in the world, including the upcoming test. It annoyed me, that I was frantic and ready to scream, while someone else could be that relaxed.
I tested out of the class.
I don’t know if he did.
The second time I saw him, it was a few months after I arrived on campus. He was the one rushing and frantic this time, running across the square. He was probably late for class, though I had no way of knowing for sure. I was already lost in my own thoughts and ideas, deciding on my major and convincing people that yes, this is what I really want to do with my life. If they weren
