The Nails Never Knew by *christians:iconchristians:

The nails never knew

These nails at hand and foot
never knew

Red
Striking to the eyes in all shades
deepening into the color of life
Drawn through veins unseen

White
Pulling life away
a soft sigh - the finale

Darkness
Cold and unfamiliar to the senses

White
light pouring through the cracks
a blanket of purity

Red
Staining no more
Blood given for the undeserving
the color of redemption

Those nails left and set aside
they never knew
that they held the Son of Glory

This was my Easter poem. I was planning on writing another poem for Easter, but it didn't happen. ... I still could, though, technically.
