A rock in Stickle Tarn on a peaceful still and misty day in the Lake District.
"God comforts the disturbed and disturbs the comfortable."
This picture depicts the first part of that saying, and is twinned with the photo "Take up his cross", which depicts the latter part.
Peace can be so elusive in this life that the very meaning of the word is often debased to merely convey the absence of violence. I believe the "shalom" peace that Jesus talked about is so much more than that, with a potential to transform life, relationships and community.
