Probably one of my slimmest prints. ;)
This one is chocked with symbols. Well.. The three elements that are in it are all symbols, and representational of Christ's suffering, sacrifice, and victory.

If you want more of an explination, ask me.

I don't know about the rest of the symbols, but the wheat symbolizes sacrifice, am i right?

Actually, it's not pencil. It's done through a method of art making called printmaking.
This was made differently, but you might be familiar with block-printing... It's when you take a piece of wood or linoleum (or other material) and carve an image into it, ink it, and then transfer the image onto paper. This was done using a metal sheet instead of wood.

i am familiar with both...did you trace what you etched out of the metal?...i think it be slightly hard to freehand it...

I etched the image into the metal with the handy dandy use of a 3-1 water/acid mix. The lion and the dandelion flowers (not the stems) were traced. The wheat is all free-hand.
