'For many years, I've had an idea of portraying the Nativity in modern times. The idea is to get a fresh look on His birth. Today Joseph would be a humble construction worker, the shepheards could be any number of people our society has deemed lesser by thier job- waitresses, dog walkers, or garbage men. But certainly, most real is how humble where the Son of God was born- simply the only place available. In our own cities this might have been just an allyway, laid in newspapers. Certain things would be true no matter the age He was born. God and His angels would be watching, Joseph and Mary would be proud and blessed parents, and Jesus would be the true gift and meaning of Christmas.'

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
