"The reward of being 'faithful over a few things' is just the same as being 'faithful over many things' ; for the emphasis falls upon the same word; it is the 'faithful' who will enter 'into the joy of their Lord.'"- Charles S. Robinson
I suspect that most of the individuals who have religious faith are content with blind faith. They feel no obligation to understand what they believe. They may even wish not to have their beliefs disturbed by thought. But if God in whom they believe created them with intellectual and rational powers, that imposes upon them the duty to try to understand the creed of their religion. Not to do so is to verge on superstition. - Mortimer J. Adler

ValkeaAs the sun began to set, an elf girl named Yulaan headed home with a sigh. She wanted to play just a little longer, but Mama and Papa would worry.Valkea by shadowsheep887
One day while rolling down a hill, (for so did she entertain herself), she went crashing into a small thicket and found herself covered in a dome of white and blue flowers, the sunlight filtering through in thin rays. Delighted by the sight, she made it her personal, secret playground, one that even her only other playmate-- her younger sister-- knew not of.
However, as for her secret friend, Sin, she did not mind disclosing its location to him. Having met the strange little fox-serpent at a very young age, when all the other children had turned away from her, she considered him her closest friend. But she told no one else about him; though her parents had never warned her to stay away from undead creatures, she knew from the other villagers it was the norm to do so, and so she knew she couldn't let anyone discover him.
In any case, it was f

He's come to the realm of our flesh,
Ready to die and pay for our sins,
Preaching good news;
The Kingdom's come within our reach.
Betrayed in the dark,
Slain by dead men as God had decreed,
To conquer His foes,
The Son of God shall rise.
And buried in shame,
Yet decay failed to strike the One.
And given the Name,
To rule from the Throne of God.
Destroying the works of demonic hordes,
Sending out prophets to call back His sheep,
Proclaiming the might of the Lord of lords,
Shaming false gods, the Caesar and all in-between.
Wage the war on death,
Call upon them who dwell in its fear.
Expose Satan's lies,
So souls return to their Maker.
The Lord swore by His name,
This hope is open to all to come.
The world will see
The goodness of Elohim to make all things new.

Siphiwe's TestimonyI would like everyone to meet my friend, Siphiwe. We've been friends since Bible College 6 years ago, and he really has been a blessing to me. Without Siphiwe I would be, well, closed minded. He has taught me many things, and I've enjoyed seeing things from his perspective. We all need friends like this - friends who don't have the same background we do, friends who have had a very different life than our own. Today, he shared a very, truly, amazing testimony with me. Here is Siphiwe's testimony:Siphiwe's Testimony by saykha
"Well this happened many years ago I would say about ten years ago while I was in High School. I had been suffering from Asthma since childhood and it would be even worse around winter times. My chest would block and I would not be able to breathe. I had to go to the nearby clinic for them to give me oxygen with medicine so that my chest can clear. I also had medicine that I had to keep at home so that I could drink immediately when I felt the symptoms. This

Passing through the Fire Prologue Part 1"Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter, That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?"Passing through the Fire Prologue Part 1 by CDupre
Gilrod Quent wiped his forearm across his brow, brushing his sandy blond hair out of his face. It was barely morning and the heat of the day already plagued the man's body. A good stack of firewood lay at his side, freshly gathered and chopped. Not a bad morning's work considering the size of the majority of the trees. All in all, Gilrod was pleased with how he and his wife and son had survived in this strange, tiny world.
It had been over a year since the Sarbithian family had found themselves in a new, unfamiliar land with no known way to get home. The entire landscape seemed to be scaled to a much smaller sort of inhabitants. As it were, the Quent fam

Joash Mera hated his job. It was getting harder and harder to justify what he did for a living. His own fiancée had urged him to quit. He wanted to quit. But there were bigger things than his own conscience. What he was doing was important for the survival of his species.
Also, quitting the Sarbithian military was not a thing easily done.
The dark sack in Joash's hand grew damp from his sweat. Soon it would contain a Mian, a creature that stood a mere eighth the height of a Sarbithian. And yet one drop of its blood was all it took to brutally kill a fully grown, healthy Sarbithian should it get into the larger species' bloodstream. As it stood, there was no cure. That needed to change.
Test subjects and samples were needed, and it was Joash's job to find such subjects. He stood with another enlisted soldier behind their crouching commanding officer.
Do To Others As You Would Have God Do To YouDo To Others As You Would Have God Do To You by Rogue-Ranger
"Do to others as you would have them do to you." (Luke 6:31)
Many Christians think of the "golden rule" as a recommendation, but it turns out that it actually is a rule strictly enforced by God, specifically through love. In fact, this is spelled out clearly by Christ.
"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12)
Throughout the gospels, Jesus teaches not to hate or judge and to love and help everyone. These are often called "fluffy verses" because they are so nice and warm, but there's actually much more to these verses and how they tie into the golden rule.
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:38)
Notice Chrsit doesn't say "may" or "should" but that we must love one another. Also notice how this is stated as a commandment, not a suggestion. So, treating others with love isn't some fluffy idea bu
Lover of Truth"Lover" is a term frequently carnalized or used in an inapropriate way by the world. But a Pure definition is simply:Lover of Truth by Vehement-Crusade
"One who loves another." Along with, "showing adoration toward a specific thing."
You can be a Lover of Christ... or a lover of the world (idolator).
You can be a Lover of someone's Heart, or a lover of their Garment (outward appearance).
Christ is The Lover of our Heart & Souls. He is The Lover of our Spirit and Life. Jesus is The Lover who gives us Life, because He first Loved us.
Love is The Fulfillment of The Law. To be an unconditional, Pure Lover towards everyone is to Fulfill The King's Law.
We must love our Neighbours as ourselves. We must be The Lover of their Souls.
In order Fulfill this Commandment of God, we are thus required to be an unconditional Pure Lover towards our own Hearts & Souls. We must know and truly love ourselves to be a true Lover of The Lord and towards others. We MUST Love & Forgive ourselves

Music can either be a blessing or a curse to you spiritually. Does the song lift you up, drag you down, or maybe even put you to sleep?
When choosing music, Christians need to think, "Would Jesus listen to this song with me?" and, "Will this song bring me closer to God, or push Him away?" No matter the type of song, we must abide by these standards. Music says more about yourself than you think.
If you're into the cutesy Indie/Folk type of music, there are actually some Christian songs that fall into that genre that are pretty sweet and uplifting. Here are some notable mentions:
Falling in Your Arms Again
Here He Comes
A Thousand Years
A Temple Made of Time
I Love You Anyway
Whether or not a song is appropriate and suitable is between you and God. However,

In this journal I will feature some upbeat/modern songs
that I felt are equally as uplifting as the traditional songs in my previous journals, based on (1) the mood/atmosphere it sets, and (2) quality of the lyrics, both in beauty and in actual substance.
Music cannot and should not be labeled as "good" or "bad"
based on its tempo or instruments used. There are beautiful and uplifting hymns, but there are also slow, 7-verse "snoozers". There are gorgeous contemporary songs that tug at our heartstrings, but there are also loud, shallow, and/or repetitive contemporary songs that can either turn worship into a party, or bore us by repeating the chorus 15 times, stretching a 3-minute song to 8 minutes.
Everyone worships differently,
and a song that brings someone closer to God may not do the same for someone else. What is important is whether or not th
Beware of False Teachers! Now before you watch this video, I'd like to say that I'm one of those people who were deceived by people like Joyce Meyer. I admit, I'm too familiar with the bible yet despite reading and trying to interpret it as best as I could. I have read to be warned against false teachers, but I don't think I was prepared for that. And I don't think I'm the only one who has been deceived by teachers like this. This is just another reason why we should study our bibles so that we know what is truth and what isn't the truth.Beware of False Teachers! by AuriaWriter1995

The point of Christian music is to worship God and bring us closer to God. How is this going to happen if our Christian music is making us bob our heads to the beat in the car or making us jump up and down and/or wiggle around in church or at home?
If a song causes things like that to happen, it's not God at the center, it's the rhythm.
The song may have the most beautiful words ever spoken, but what good does it do if it's not the point of focus?
Godly music should keep God at the center. The reason for you to listen to a Christian song should be because you want to worship God, not for entertainment.
Godly music should make you lift your hands up in the air with tears in your eyes, it's so beautiful. The words pierce into your heart and bring to you a comfort you didn't know a minute ago.
That is what wor
